Nilla Wafers Strain Review | Agro Couture
Nilla Wafers by Agro Couture, is a hybrid cross between Wedding Cake and Sundae Driver. Few things in this world take me back to my childhood more than the infamous Nilla Wafer cookies. Animal Cookies (with the frosting on them), McDonald’s cheeseburgers, and Nilla Wafers. As a child of the 70’s, these items will instantly transport me back to a simpler and more innocent time. Does the strain of Nilla Wafers by Agro Couture add up? That, my friends, is what we are about to find out.

Nilla Wafers Review
I am really becoming a fan of these strains that have quite a variety of terpenes in them. They add complexity to the flavor, but they also add a wide spectrum of effects and medicinal benefits. Nilla Wafers are no different, promising to provide a little bit of an energetic lift while still providing the sedative and relaxing benefits one may want to have. This is an excellent strain to hang out and watch TV with a friend or loved one. Munchies were at a minimum for me, and the more hits I took, the more relaxing and sedative this one became.
Appearance: 4.5-Light green, tight frosty buds with bundles of orange hairs and a slight squeeze to them, nice cure. I would have given these a 5, but I like my buds a little beefier and a little more fluffy too. Not that these are bad, I mean, these little nugs were so frosty, Tony the Tiger would say they were great!
Aroma: 4-Vanilla, fuel, slight evergreen tree aroma, and doughy. The aroma was delicious and amazing, I only marked it down because it was not super prominent. I even withheld judgment until after I ground it up, as sometimes grinding can cause the aroma to magnify. It was delicious; I just wanted more of it.
Flavor: 5-Vanilla, Baked Cookie (hence the name I suppose), hotter pulls produce a sour grape or huckleberry after taste. This is where this strain really gets to be fun. It literally tastes similar to the Nilla Wafer cookies. It was not an exact one for one flavor, of course, but it was enough to take me back to sitting on the porch, eating Nilla Wafers, and drinking soda as a young ‘un.
Effect: 5-SUPER stoney, very much upper body/head high, euphoric, happy, wanting to hang out with other people. This I was not expecting. As a budtender and a very cannabis-friendly user, I find it quite exciting when a strain can bust through my tolerance barrier and give me an out of this world experience. Nilla’s gave me a heavy euphoric high, melted away my social anxieties, made me super happy, and overall was an amazing experience, all while only clocking in at around 22% THC.
If you needed further evidence that it is less about THC and more about the terpenes, this strain is all the evidence you will need. In addition, the overall high starts energetic but settles to be more relaxing over time, especially with continued consumption. This strain gave me a good 4-6 hour effect.
Overall Rating: 4.6 out of 5 stars
The Final Puff
I will say it until I am blue in the face, stop focusing on THC and start focusing on terpenes. Compare it to driving a nice car, THC is the gas pedal, terpenes are the steering wheel, and the other cannabinoids are like the radio, sunroof, etc. They all play an important part in the full experience. Nilla Wafers is an experience everyone should have, I know I will again.
Until next time, stay healthy and always take the “high” ground! ~ TerpzChaser
