GG#4 Strain Review | Rocket Cannabis
GG#4 strain is a certified classic. You may remember it by a different name… but no one can call it that anymore for trademark and copyright reasons. No one wants a 400 lb gorilla lawyer gluing you down in a law suit, right?
GG#4 Strain Review | Rocket Cannabis
GG#4 strain by Rocket Cannabis, also known by its previous name from a famous adhesive company, is a Sativa-dominant strain cross of Chocolate Diesel and Sour Dubble that will leave you uplifted, energized, and ready to take on any challenge like a Gorilla in the jungle.
While the term “Gorilla Glue” can no longer be used legally due to a copyright suit brought on by the adhesive company years ago, the strain still lives on with its abbreviated name.
What makes Rocket’s GG#4 so much better than all the other producers, in my opinion? Read on, my friends, and find out.

GG#4 Terpenes & Cannabinoids
It is important to note that experiences can vary from person to person. These are experiences and an explanation of terpenes and their purported effects from scientific studies, anecdotal evidence, and not medical claims. It is also important to keep in mind that terpene and cannabinoid profiles can change from grower to grower, and crop to crop. Terpene levels below .05% are not listed, as while they may still have some effect on the overall experience, compared to the other terpenes they are likely to be masked or work in conjunction with. GG#4 Strain Review
AAAA – Best of the Best, AAA – Top Shelf Quality, A – Still top quality, could use improvement, B – Mid Grade, lots of areas to improve on, but overall still smokeable weed, C – Dirt or Brick Weed, tastes like yard waste but still gets you kind of high, likely with a headache, D – Not even worth mentioning, probably Oregano
Appeal: AAAA – Trichomes, trichomes, and more trichomes. This cultivar gets the name GG 4 because of the way it sticks to your fingers when pulling apart, scissors while trimming, and gums up your grinder like you are using some of that “famous” adhesive. Green buds that appear lighter in color than they actually are due to heavy trichome coverage with dark orange pistols lightly spread throughout.
Aroma: AAAA – Chocolate, Fuel, Coffee, Pine.
Flavor: AAAA – Chocolate, Fuel, Coffee, Pine.
Effects: AAAA – Euphoric, Energizing, Mood Enhancing, Anti Anxiety, Reduced Pain and Inflammation, Body Relaxing.
Estimated Length of Effects: 4 – 6 hours
Overall Score: AAAA
The Final Puff
GG#4 is one of those notorious strains that pretty much anyone who has been smoking for any amount of time is aware of. So why Rocket GG#4, you ask, when there are so many others out there? GG#4 in Washington State has always tended to lean either straight 50/50 hybrid or even toward indica. I even know one producer that grows it primarily as an Indica.
In my humble opinion, Rocket does it right. Mostly sativa, this gives you the energy you need to get things done, whether it’s yard work, getting that extra set in at the gym, conquering a mountain, or dominating your territory. GG#4 by Rocket will have you beating your chest and reminding everyone around you who the real Alpha is.
Chocolate, coffee, fuel, and a little pine come through in both the aroma and flavor. The effects hit fast and initially straight to the head and upper body, providing a euphoric feeling that rivals most other strains. As time progresses, you can feel it creep down your spine and then spread out in a nice body buzz that can help keep your pain receptors at bay, reduce your anxiety, and improve your mood.
Rocket Cannabis, in my opinion, is one of the best producers the state of Washington has to offer, and their GG#4 is a great representation of why. I will be doing more reviews of this phenomenal brand soon; however, in the meantime, rush down to White Rabbit Cannabis and pick up some GG#4 while it is still available. This cultivar, while in abundance as of the writing of this review, will likely disappear off of our shelves fast.
