Mike & Gary Strain Review | Sub-X

Mike and Gary from Sub-X (bred by Skunk House Genetics) may sound like a couple of cool guys you might hang out with and get into some trouble on a Saturday night, but it is rather an amazing strain to enjoy alone and with friends. A cross between Gary Payton and Mike Larry, this cultivar promises to deliver creamy, dessert notes with an earthy aroma. It is also known to provide a heady high with a nice relaxation component for the body, making this a perfect afternoon hybrid. However, beware new smokers as this one packs a long-lasting punch that might smack you upside the head if you are not careful. But enough about the hype, let’s get after it!

Lighting It Up

Mike & Gary smokes very smooth with a creamy sweet citrus flavor and aroma, with a sour lemon and pine forest flavor on the backend. A little citrus and chemical pine in the background adds to the pleasing aroma that makes this strain so popular. This cultivar is well known for its sociable, happy, uplifting, giggly, and relaxing effects. Some have even reported some added focus. The last one seems to not be my reaction with this strain though, maybe focusing on being chill and having a good time. Yeah, we will call it that!

Overall, it is a great tasting smoke, with long lasting effects that will lift your mind, and relax your body. No couch lock experienced, and not overly munchy either. However, per usual, users’ experiences may vary.
