Delta 8 THC distillate from Rogue Raven provides a highly concentrated form of a particular cannabinoid found in cannabis. Delta 8 THC is related to Delta 9, but it has much less psychotropic effects. In essence, Delta 8 delivers the “body high” without so much of the psychotropic effects associated with Delta 9. Therefore, Delta 8 THC offers an option for those seeking the physical benefits of THC but without the mental side effects.

How Does Delta 8 Affect Appetite?

Also, Delta 8 THC induces appetite while also reducing nausea. So, for those in chemotherapy or similar treatments that effect appetite, this particular form of THC offers medical benefits as shown in clinical medical studies.

The distillate of Delta 8 from Rogue Raven comes in a syringe style cartridge. The distillate runs exceedingly thick and I found it impossible to get it out of the syringe. I actually broke the tip in the process. At that point, I heated some water in a small dish in the microwave for 30 seconds. Holding the syringe over the heated water for about 15 seconds allows it to liquefy enough where it becomes manageable.

My biggest qualm, the packaging should contain messaging to address this issue. I suppose common sense should have prevailed, but assuming everyone has common sense might not be the best idea.

Delta 8, More feeling, less flavor

In terms of flavor, don’t expect any. This distillate removes all traces of additional terpenes and other plant compounds. Delta 8 THC distillate trades flavor off for the full effect of the THC.  The body high in this case comes much more noticeable than pure CBD, while offering many similar benefits of CBD. For example, improving appetite, and reducing my soreness after exercise are effects I experience personally.

In terms of consumption, I recommend dabbing it, but putting some on flower works also. Adding some to a paper for a joint probably is an effort in futility since it is so thick. However, putting a drop on the tip of a preroll could do the trick.

In Essence

Rogue Raven deserves respect and credit for offering this form of THC. Producing Delta 8 THC requires a lot of cannabis, a ton of expertise, and true dedication to the process to extract. Although I had issues with getting it out of the syringe, those issues could easily be addressed. Still, perhaps a syringe is not ideal, but they can figure that out hopefully through more feedback from customers.

Most importantly, in my view, the effects to me seem superior to CBD for the same things I would recommend CBD for. Considering how popular CBD has become, perhaps Delta 8 will soon enjoy equal popularity for its apparent medical benefits. Of course, I am not a doctor, but I try and read the peer reviewed legitimate published materials available. Delta 8 seems headed for similar recognition and acknowledgement of its benefits.
